Copper Nickel 70/30 Forgings are composed of about 70% copper and 30% nickel and contain small amounts of iron (0.4–1.0%) and manganese (0.4–1.0%) as additions to provide strength and corrosion resistance. The alloy exhibits superior seawater corrosion protection, biofouling resistance, and erosion. The mechanical properties commonly are tensile strength 310–483 MPa, yield strength 110–276 MPa, and elongation 20–40%, depending on the forging process. With a hardness of 80–150 HB, the alloy has superior toughness, ductility, and thermal stability, making it suitable for high-performance parts used in severe marine and industrial environments.
