Hastelloy Flat Bars are nickel-based alloys that consist mainly of 50–70% Nickel, 14–22% Molybdenum, and 3–6% Chromium, along with small additions of Iron, Tungsten, and Cobalt. This highly engineered composition provides outstanding resistance to corrosion, elevated temperature, and stress, such as pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Mechanically, Hastelloy Flat Bars have high tensile strength, ductility, and fatigue strength, as well as outstanding weldability and machinability. These attributes provide long-term consistency, which makes Hastelloy Flat Bars appropriate for critical applications where other material would collapse under extreme chemical or thermal conditions.
