Isis Metals, a reliable manufacturer and exporter in Manila, Philippines, is globally recognized for providing top-quality metal products with accuracy and reliability. Among its leading products are Stainless Steel 17-4PH Forgings, which are known for their exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and mechanical superiority. These forgings are well-established in aerospace, marine, and chemical processing industries because of their exceptional performance under high-stress conditions. Supported by world-class manufacturing capabilities, experienced professionals, and rigorous quality checks, Isis Metals is committed to delivery schedules, uniform quality, and unparalleled service — raising standards of excellence in the international metal industry.
17-4PH Stainless Steel Forgings are martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steels containing about 16–17.5% chromium, 3–5% nickel, 3–5% copper, 0.15–0.45% niobium, and the balance iron, with small additions. These forgings have tensile strength up to 1310 MPa, yield strength of about 1170 MPa, and 10–15% elongation, depending on heat treatment (H900–H1150). They have high hardness (up to 40 HRC), good toughness, and superior corrosion resistance over the general martensitic grades. Due to their excellent strength-to-weight ratio and heat treatment versatility, 17-4PH forgings are best suited for challenging and precision-engineered industrial applications.

The ideal temperature range for forging Stainless Steel 17-4PH is 1850°F to 2050°F (1010°C to 1120°C). Post-forging, annealing or solution treating is necessary to achieve optimal properties.
Yes, Stainless Steel 17-4PH forgings can be forged into custom shapes. This alloy offers excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and machinability, making it suitable for precision custom forging applications.
The forging process for Stainless Steel 17-4PH typically takes several hours, including heating, shaping, and cooling. The exact duration depends on part size, complexity, and specific forging techniques used.
Stainless Steel 17-4PH Forgings find extensive applications in high-strength, high-toughness, and high-corrosion-resistant applications under extreme exposure conditions. They are used in aerospace components like turbine blades, landing gears, and shafts because of their high fatigue strength. In chemical and petrochemical industries, they are used in valves, pumps, and pressure vessels for their corrosive media resistance. They have marine applications as propeller shafts and structures exposed to seawater. They also find applications in tooling, instrumentation, and heavy-duty mechanical assemblies, where long-term operating reliability depends on durability, wear resistance, and accuracy.

We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
