Duplex Steel Rectangular Bars have a two-phase microstructure of approximately equal amounts of austenite and ferrite. Common compositions, like 2205 grade, contain 22% Chromium, 5–6% Nickel, 3% Molybdenum, and Nitrogen, which give them greater strength and resistance to corrosion than the common stainless steels. Their mechanical properties are high yield strength, good resistance to stress corrosion cracking, and good ductility.
