Stainless Steel 430 Hollow Bar is a ferritic stainless steel alloy that includes 16–18% chromium, up to 1% manganese, 1% silicon, and a maximum of 0.12% carbon. The high chromium content ensures excellent resistance to oxidation and scaling, even at elevated temperatures. These bars boast a tensile strength of around 450–600 MPa, along with good ductility and moderate corrosion resistance. SS 430 is magnetic, offers excellent polishability, and is easy to machine. While it can’t be hardened through heat treatment, it retains its strength and formability in mildly corrosive and oxidizing environments.
