Isis Metals is a Manila, Philippines-based manufacturer and supplier of high-quality SS 316L Hollow Bars that provide superior performance in numerous industries. Praised for their superior corrosion resistance, weldability, and strength, these hollow bars find applications in pharmaceutical, food processing, marine, and construction industries. Developed to perform under tough and demanding conditions, SS 316L Hollow Bars contain high intergranular corrosion and high-temperature resistance. Their low carbon content improves weldability and reduces carbide precipitation. At Isis Metals, we guarantee each product to meet high standards of quality, delivering long-term reliability and superior performance in demanding industrial applications.
SS 316L Hollow Bars consist of an austenitic stainless steel alloy containing 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum with low carbon content (≤0.03%) for enhanced weldability. This alloy achieves superior corrosion resistance, particularly in marine and chloride environments. The alloy has remarkable mechanical properties such as tensile strength of 485–620 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, and elongation of 40–50%. The lower carbon content of the alloy helps to avoid precipitation of carbides on welding, making it highly durable and strong under high-temperature or corrosive process conditions.

SS 316L hollow bars are commonly used in industries requiring high corrosion resistance, such as chemical processing, marine environments, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and oil & gas. They are ideal for making shafts, valves, pipes, and structural components in harsh environments.
SS 316L offers superior corrosion resistance compared to other stainless steels, especially in chloride-rich environments. Its low carbon content enhances its resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, making it ideal for harsh, marine, and chemical applications.
SS 316L hollow bars offer excellent weldability due to their low carbon content, reducing the risk of carbide precipitation. This results in stronger, more durable welds. Their corrosion resistance also ensures long-lasting performance in welded constructions exposed to harsh environments.
Isis Metals SS 316L Hollow Bars are commonly applied in high-corrosion, durability, and strength demanding industries. They find a broad range of applications in food processing and pharmaceutical industries, where material integrity, cleanliness, and hygiene are crucial. Their high resistance to pitting and chloride corrosion qualifies them well for marine, offshore, and chemical processing applications. Moreover, hollow bars made of these are also ideal for construction, heat exchangers, condensers, and piping systems exposed to high-temperature or corrosive conditions. With excellent weldability and tensile strength, SS 316L Hollow Bars are known for long life and dependable service, owing to which they are a favorite among demanding industrial uses.
