Isis Metals, based in Manila, Philippines, stands out as a top-notch manufacturer and supplier of high-performance superalloy solutions. They specialize in crafting bars and rods from the nickel-based alloy MAR-M 247. Their facility is designed to handle demanding specifications and tight tolerances, providing expert metallurgical support to clients in aerospace, power generation, and heavy industry. By blending cutting-edge processing techniques with strict quality control, Isis Metals guarantees that every MAR-M 247 bar and rod meets the crucial structural and environmental standards needed for extreme-service applications.
The MAR-M 247 alloy boasts a chemical makeup that includes about 66–68% nickel (Ni), 8% chromium (Cr), 9–10% cobalt (Co), 9.3–9.7% tungsten (W), and 5.4–5.7% aluminum (Al), along with trace amounts of molybdenum (Mo), tantalum (Ta), hafnium (Hf), titanium (Ti), and boron (B). Mechanically, it offers impressive ultimate tensile strength—around 1000 MPa in certain heat-treated cast forms—and maintains strong yield values even at high temperatures, with tested values dropping to about 650-750 MPa at around 982 °C. It also shows excellent resistance to creep-rupture, fatigue, and oxidation in environments reaching up to about 1000 °C.

Yes, Grade Mar M247 bar can be welded using appropriate welding techniques like gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) or laser welding, but preheating and post-weld heat treatment are often recommended.
Yes, for welding Gr Mar M247 Bar, typically used consumables include Inconel 625, Inconel 718, or similar high-nickel alloys to ensure compatibility with its high-temperature and corrosion-resistant properties.
Grade Mar M247, primarily used for turbine blades, is generally resistant to galvanic corrosion due to its high alloy content. However, galvanic corrosion risk can arise when coupled with dissimilar metals.
MAR-M 247 bars and rods are perfectly suited for the toughest applications in aerospace turbine engines and industrial gas turbines, where components face extreme temperatures, stresses, and corrosive conditions. They are frequently used for turbine blades, vanes, discs, and hot-section rotating parts, where the alloy’s long-term stability, high creep resistance, and oxidation performance ensure reliability under harsh service conditions. Additionally, this material is utilized in special forging stock and in heat-exchange or combustion-chamber assemblies in power-generation plants and other heavy machinery.

We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
