High-Speed Steel (HSS) T1 Bars consist of about 18–20% Tungsten, 4–5% Chromium, 1.5–2.0% Vanadium, 0.5–1.0% Molybdenum, and 0.7–1.0% Carbon, with the rest being Iron. This gives the material excellent hardness, reaching 63–65 HRC levels, excellent wear resistance, and toughness. The alloy remains sharp and structurally stable even at high temperatures, offering excellent red-hardness and excellent machinability in the hardened condition. With better thermal deformation and abrasion resistance, T1 steel provides uniform strength and extended service life and is therefore particularly suitable for cutting, tooling, and high-speed machining applications.
