Stainless Steel 304 Bars and Rods are predominantly composed of 18–20% chromium and 8–10.5% nickel, with an upper limit of 0.08% carbon, 2% manganese, 0.045% phosphorus, and 0.03% sulfur, with the rest being iron. The combination gives excellent corrosion resistance, formability, and strength. Mechanically, SS 304 provides a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40% in 50 mm, as well as a hardness of 92 HRB.
