Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Hex Bar and Rod has about 17% chromium, 7% nickel, and small quantities of aluminum, carbon, manganese, silicon, and phosphorus. The alloy has excellent mechanical properties, such as tensile strength of 1240–1380 MPa and yield strength of about 1100 MPa in full hard condition. It has good fatigue and stress rupture resistance, as well as corrosion resistance in mild chemical environments. The alloy can be heat-treated to get the desired mechanical properties, rendering it extremely versatile for harsh industrial and structural applications.
